Diwali was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Lucknow Public School, Sector I, featuring various activities that embodied the festival's spirit. The pre-primary students made paper diyas, while Classes I and II participated in a rangoli coloring activity. Classes III and IV created colorful wall hangings, Class V made beautiful Jharokhas, Class VI crafted hanging diyas, Class VII made vibrant Kandeels, and Class VIII created lanterns.
A special assembly on October 29, 2024, featured a speech on Diwali’s significance, a dance performance by the pre-primary wing, and a group song by the junior wing. An eco-friendly Diwali speech encouraged avoiding crackers, and the primary wing delivered an energetic dance performance. The highlight was a musical play on the Ramayana, emphasizing Diwali’s values. Certificates and medals were awarded to winners of an inter-school dance and singing competition. The students also distributed gifts to children at Bal Graha, Charbagh. The principal’s inspiring words concluded the event, which ended with applause, emphasizing the themes of joy, unity, and responsibility.
Taking a break from their busy academic schedule, the students of Lucknow Public School, Sector I branch, from classes IX to XII went on a picnic to Amrapali Water Park on 9th October’24, escorted by their teachers and the Vice Principal of the School. The excitement of the students could be felt in the buses itself as they sang songs and played Antakshari on their way to Amrapali. As soon as they reached the picnic spot, they were treated to a sumptuous breakfast. It was a fun filled day with the students enjoying in the pool with water slides, dancing to the beats of music and playing outdoor games like badminton, cricket and football not only with their friends but also with their teachers. After all these activities, the students were offered a delicious lunch at the venue. The students then reassembled and took their respective buses back to school. The zeal and fervour of the day was not yet over as they sang on their way back to school in the buses. It was a day to be etched in their memories for years to come.
Lucknow Public School Sector -I celebrated Gandhi Jayanti and Lal Bahadur Shastri Jayanti on 2nd October 2024 to celebrate birthday of two great leaders of India. They taught us to be brave, sincere, diligent and to follow their examples in our lives. The special assembly was filled with inspiration as Primary students delivered powerful messages honouring the legacy of Mahatma Gandhi. Like every year Swachhata Pakhwada, was also incorporated with Gandhi Jayanti which promotes cleanliness and hygiene in our communities. As a part of the activity, students distributed hygiene kits that included soap, sanitizer, oil, handwash to the under privileged children of our society. The students also distributed paper bags and envelopes to the small vendors to encourage them to reduce plastic use. These activities helped us to remember Gandhi’s message of cleanliness and care for our environment. Together, we can make our surroundings clean and healthy for everyone.
A speech competition in English for students of senior classes was conducted in Library. Topic for the speech was "The future depends on what we do in the present" The Principal appreciated the effort of the students.
A vibrant assembly to celebrate *World Tourism Day* was held by Lucknow Public School showcasing the cultures from around the globe. The theme for this year was “Tourism and Sustainable Development” focusing on how travel can positively impact communities and the environment. Students of Primary Section participated in a cultural program featuring music and dance from various countries including the attire of the particularly Chinese, American, Korean, Japanese and Indian Culture. The assembly was a great success, filled with excitement and learning. We celebrated the beauty of cultures around the world and understood the important role, tourism plays in our lives. Let’s keep exploring and respecting the diverse cultures of our planet. Junior Section students participated in a fun and creative activity called Chisel, the Wonder where different monuments were made moulding the clay using different moulding tools. Overall, the activities successfully fostered learning, creativity, and respect for cultures around the world on the occasion of World Tourism Day.
Remembrance Day’ of our Reverend Founder Shri C.P. Singh is observed on September 21, 2024. Revd. C.P Singh sir laid the foundation of Lucknow Public School. He illuminated the lives of millions with the light of education. He was a visionary educationist. A floral tribute was paid to sir by the entire L.P.S family followed by a commemorative prayer service remembering the founder's virtues, his dedication and commitment for striving towards excellence. His Indomitable spirit, his trailblazing zeal and enthusiasm to impart quality education can never be undermined. His revolutionary practices brought a remarkable change in the field of education and provided an opportunity to achieve splendid feats not only in academics but also co-curricular activities. May the legacy of our Revd. C.P SIR continue to inspire the coming generations to lead a virtuous life and add laurels to the institution by the dint of their merit.
लखनऊ पब्लिक स्कूल की सेक्टर-आई शाखा में दिनांक 9 सितंबर से 19 सितंबर, 2024 तक 'हिंदी सप्ताह' का आयोजन किया गया। इस अवसर पर प्राथमिक व जूनियर स्तर के विद्यार्थियों द्वारा विशेष प्रार्थना सभा प्रस्तुत की गई ,जिसमें प्राथमिक स्तर द्वारा समूह नृत्य, हिंदी भाषा के महत्व पर आधारित एकल नाटक, दोहा वाचन एवं कठपुतलियों के माध्यम से कहानी सुनाने संबंधी आकर्षक गतिविधियाँ भी आयोजित की गईं । जूनियर विभाग द्वारा हिंदी भाषा का महत्व बताते हुए वीर रस तथा हास्य रस पर आधारित कविता वाचन किया गया। नन्हें कवियों की मनमोहक प्रस्तुति तथा ओजपूर्ण वाणी से सम्पूर्ण सभा मंत्रमुग्ध हो गई। नैतिकतापूर्ण जीवन जीने की सीख देते दोहों का वाचन तथा विकारी शब्दों को कविता के माध्यम से प्रस्तुत करने की कला ने भी सभी को आकर्षण में बांधे रखा ।हिंदी दिवस पर आधारितइन गतिविधियों को ’दैनिक समाचार' के रूप में प्रस्तुत किया गया। इसके अतिरिक्त विद्यार्थियों में भाषा की समृद्धता,अभिव्यक्ति क्षमता एवं रचनात्मकता आदि के संवर्धन हेतु सुलेख, श्रुतलेख , सुलेखन व जिंगल लेखन जैसी विभिन्न प्रतियोगिताओं का भी आयोजन कक्षा में किया गया। इन सभी आयोजनों में छात्रों ने अत्यंत उत्साह के साथ भागीदारी की ।एवं प्रत्येक प्रतिभागियो को भी पुरुस्कृत किया गया ।
A four-day CBSE Cluster IV badminton tournament was held at Lucknow Public School, Sector I, with 113 teams from 25 districts competing in Under 14, Under 17, and Under 19 categories for both girls and boys. The event began with the Chief Guest, Ms. Meenakshi Nayyer, Assistant Secretary of CBSE, lighting a lamp and hoisting the CBSE flag. The Head Girl administered a sports oath, promoting good sportsmanship, followed by a cultural program by the students. The first two days featured intense Round 1 and Round 2 matches, while the third day included quarterfinal and semifinal rounds, showcasing exciting performances. The finals on the fourth day continued the thrilling atmosphere. The closing ceremony included another cultural performance, with mementos presented to CBSE officials, followed by a prize distribution led by Mr. Mohit Yadav and other dignitaries. The event concluded with Mr. Yadav officially declaring it closed.
Lucknow Public School, Sector- I branch organised a special Teacher’s Day Assembly in its premises. The Assembly was attended by the honourable Principal of the school, Vice Principal, teachers and students.
Students of the school gave a warm welcome to all the teachers and organised numerous fun filled activities and games in their honour. In one of the games a word was given to the teachers and they had to remember as many songs as they could with that word. In another game teachers were shown a picture and they had to recognise the name of the movie. Various fun games were also organised for the teachers.
The Assembly was organised by the senior and primary wing of the school. The esteemed Principal of the school gave her heartiest wishes to all present and thanked the students for conducting the programme and the assembly concluded with her precious words of wisdom.
On 29th August 2024, Lucknow Public School, Sector I, celebrated National Sports Day in honor of Major Dhyan Chand's birth anniversary. The day began with a special assembly led by senior students, followed by a floral tribute to the hockey legend. A sports quiz was held to engage all students, and inter-house basketball and kho-kho matches showcased students' athletic abilities. A prize distribution ceremony awarded winners with medals, trophies, and certificates. The event concluded with Principal Ms. Surabhi Sharma's motivational speech on the importance of sports, teamwork, discipline, and perseverance, inspiring students to embrace physical activity.
Janmashtami is a significant Hindu festival observed in India, celebrated on the 8th day of Krishna paksha in the Hindu month of Shravana. It marks the birth of Lord Krishna and is joyfully commemorated by Hindus across the country. This auspicious occasion was celebrated in Lucknow Public School, Sector I with great zeal and happiness. A special assembly was conducted for the same. Various programmes were held in the assembly which included a rhetoric expression, a duet song and a group song. A dance performance was also presented by the students of class KG. The assembly ended with the inspiring words of the Principal and Head Mistress. Later in the day a Fridge Magnet activity was conducted for classes VI to VIII in the classroom were students made different artefacts related to Janmashtami.
The Maiden National Space Day was celebrated at our school through exciting activities.The event started with the encouraging words of the principal followed by a PowerPoint Presentation on Chandrayaan -3 which reflected the Theme of The National Space Day 2024 i.e. Touching Lives while touching the moon: India's Space Saga.
Quiz Competition:
Students from different classes took part in the quiz competition. The quiz focused on space-related topics such as planets, stars, astronauts, and space missions. Participants answered the questions with energy and enthusiasm about space and related things. Everyone enjoyed learning more about space in a fun and engaging way.
Painting Competition:
In the painting competition, students expressed their creativity by drawing and painting space-themed artworks. They created beautiful pictures of planets and rockets.A host of other informative activities were conducted in all primary classes to acquaint the students about NATIONAL SPACE DAY.
Raksha Bandhan is not only a celebration of the sibling relationship but also a reinforcement of the importance of family ties. It serves as a reminder of shared childhood memories, experiences, and responsibilities that have shaped the bond between brothers and sisters.
On this Raksha Bandhan, Lucknow Public School (Sector -I) branch came with the idea of conducting the activity in the form of Card Making and Invitation Writing. The students of Junior classes poured out their emotions of love, care and togetherness in their unique creations.
A Special Assembly was conducted on the occasion of Sanskrit Diwas at our school to honour the ancient language of Sanskrit.
Sanskrit is known as the mother of many languages and has been a key part of Indian culture and history for thousands of years. It is the language in which many important texts, including the Vedas and Upanishads, were written. Shloks from the Bhagavad Gita were recited, which is a sacred text written in Sanskrit. These Shloks reminded us of the values and teachings that are important in our lives. The students joined in a prayer in Sanskrit, which is a traditional way to seek peace and wisdom. The special assembly concluded with the teacher taking Sanskrit classes appreciating the richness of Sanskrit and its role in our cultural and spiritual life.
The Independence Day celebration at Lucknow Public School Sector -I was held to commemorate the 78th Anniversary of our nation’s independence. The event was a vibrant display of patriotism, unity, and school spirit, bringing together students, faculty, and parents.
The event commenced with the flag hoisting ceremony by the Principal followed by the national anthem & national song sung by the school choir creating a solemn and patriotic atmosphere.The programme included a patriotic song by the school choir, a patriotic song by Nidhira a patriotic dance performance by Primary students, a Mime depicting struggle of Jallianwala Bagh performed by Junior students, Hindi Elocution by the Primary students and musical medley of popular patriotic songs, rendered by the teachers. The programme concluded with the Udghosh by all the students.
The event not only honoured our country’s history but also fostered a sense of community and national pride among attendees.
Library is the heart of educational institutions
National Librarian’s Day is observed on 12th August every year to commemorate the Birth Anniversary of Padmashri Dr. S.R. Ranganathan who is considered as Father of Library Science in India. It is an amazing day for all librarians as it inspires them to learn, grow and explore the world through the power of books. On this day various activities are conducted to honour the hard work and dedication of librarians around the world. Students of Lucknow Public School Sector- I also performed an activity related to Biography of great personalities as prepared by the students of Classes IX & X. Another activity of bibliographic information of the book was written by students of class VII. The rich legacy left behind by the father of Library Science has to be carried by the present generation librarians through the various activities done by students.
Investiture ceremony is an important occasion where a school entrusts its upcoming leaders with certain roles and responsibilities. Delegation of responsibility and giving authority to children is important as it teaches them lifelong skills of being powerful and caring at the same time. It was a proud moment when Lucknow Public School Sector I (Primay Wing) held its Investiture Ceremony on 31/7/2024, forming its much awaited Board of Students from each House. The Head Mistress, House Mistresses handed the badges, sashes and flags over to them. The newly elected members took the oath . Principal Ma’am and the Headmistress congratulated the team and reminded them that with position comes responsibility towards themselves, their School and peers. She advised them to be role models for their peers and the juniors.

The selected students were honoured with their respective badges & titles. Shlok Singh and Anamika Singh were honoured with the title of Head Boy & Head Girl of the school respectively.

Van Mahotsav, literally means "Forest Festival" which is an annual celebration in India. It aims to raise awareness about the importance of trees and forests in our ecosystem. Observed typically in the first week of July, this festival is a call to action for individuals, communities, and governments to come together and work towards environmental conservation.
Every year the entire family of Lucknow Public Schoolcelebrates Van Mahotsav to create awareness by encouraging the students for planting saplings and taking care of them.
This year the students of Lucknow Public School Sector -Ibranch came up with the innovative thoughts for nurturing the nature by conducting a special morning assembly followed by the welcome speech on Van Mahotsav and with melodious presentation of song which was again a gesture of showing gratitude towards our mother nature.
The students not only planted saplings in public spaces and communities but also organised awareness cycle rallies and marches around the local areas. Teachers encouraged everyone to plant at least two sapling to fulfil the basic surge of our nature because Nurture nature secures our future.
Lucknow Public School Sector- I celebrated this year marks the 10th International Day of Yoga with the theme “ Yoga for self and society” on June 21st to promote global health and well-being, through yoga. Teachers and students enthusiastically practised different yoga postures to promote physical and mental well-being through yoga postures, meditation, and breathing exercises. Teachers highlighted yoga's role in reducing stress, improving flexibility, and fostering mindfulness. The day served as a reminder of yoga's universal appeal and its ability to unify people across cultures in pursuit of wellness and inner peace. The day aims to raise awareness about the benefits of yoga for physical and mental health.

To provide an opportunity to the students to showcase their skills & inculcate into them a spirit of sportsmanship, Lucknow Public School, Sector I organized an Inter-House Badminton Tournament on 8th May. Students from the senior wing of all four houses of the LPS family participated enthusiastically to bag the positions. Bharat House bagged the winner's title followed by Dhruv House & Karan House in the Senior Category for Girls. In the Senior Category for Boys, , Bharat House retained the first position again followed by Eklavya House and Dhruv House respectively. Accolades were presented to all the winners & the tournament was quite a learning experience for all the participating teams.

In order to foster the same, an Inter-House Chess Competition was held at Lucknow Public School, Sector I. The competition was conducted on 8th May in two categories i.e. grade VI to VIII (boys & girls) & grade III to V (boys and girls). In the category VI to VIII (boys), Karan House bagged the first position followed by Dhruv House and Bharat House respectively.In junior category (girls) Eklavya House emerged victorious followed by Dhruv House and Karan House on second and third position respectively.In primary category (boys) Bharat House bagged the first position followed by Karan House and Eklavya House on second and third position respectively. In primary category (girls) first prize was bagged by Eklavya House followed by Dhruv House & Bharat House respectively.
To protect the planet from things like pollution and deforestation, Earth Day is celebrated every year on 22nd April. The students of primary wing gave a dance performance with an objective to save the planet earth. A speech was also given and a performance of rhetoric expression was also presented by thestudents. An activity of calligraphy was conducted for classes VI to VIII where the students participated with great zeal.
Yellow Day was celebrated in Lucknow Public School, Sector I on 26th April, 2024 where the students of pre-nursery and nursery were dressed in yellow. They made various objects of yellow color through
thumb painting, sponge painting and paper tearing and pasting. They brought yellow fruits in their lunch and enjoyed the fruit party. They also enjoyed on this day.
The Labour Day aims to recognise the struggle and hard work of workers, to educate them about their rights and to prevent them from being exploited. To mark the occasion, a special assembly was
conducted by the students of primary wing which comprises of a group song followed by a speech. The fourth class employees of the school were given goodie bags by the students of pre primary wing. The
assembly ended with the inspiring words by the Headmistress.
The special morning assembly on World Health Day in our school was an insightful and motivating event. It commenced with a speech highlighting the importance of health, emphasizing the significance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle. This was followed by an engaging act demonstrating various aspects of health and wellness. The assembly concluded with our teacher summarizing the key points and encouraging us to prioritize our health. Finally, our principal addressed the gathering, stressing the importance of adopting healthy habits and lifestyles for overall well-being. The assembly served as a reminder to prioritize health and wellness in our lives.

On the occasion of World Heritage Day the students of LPS Sector-I Branch Junior Wing conducted a special morning assembly and performed a skit that conveyed the message of conserving and protecting our heritage sites and also pledged to protect and appreciate the value of our world's heritage sites and preserve them for future generations and also spread the awareness by telling about the measures to be taken to conserve such heritage sites .House wise collage making activity was conducted on rich heritage of India for Classes VII & VIII and the students of Class VI has showcased their speaking skills through the activity Show and Tell.
To begin the new academic session, a Welcome assembly was organized by the teachers and students on 1st April, 2024. The assembly began with a prayer followed by a Welcome song sung by the students of junior wing, along with a dance performance by the students of primary wing to rejuvenate the students with joy and enthusiasm. The teacher of primary wing, Ms.Avneet Kaur delivered a speech to the students explaining the importance of the 3D's in life, i.e. Discipline, Dedication and Determination. The assembly ended with the inspiring words of the Principal.
